I am a hardcore mate and the only reason I did an about turn was Microsoft original reveal....remember .

I'm still regretting buying it until this day,it's become a giant paperwaite and never used.

Actually I didn't actually call myself a hardcore gamer is was a general quote for people that went out and supported both Microsoft and Sony with there new next generation consoles on the day of release at inflated prices ,obviously inflated because they couldn't do the deals they are now offering 12 months later...

If anyone does qualify for hardcore gamer on here it's certainly me given what dish I spend on gaming in general.

What constitutes as a Hardcore gamer in your eyes.....In mine it's money spent on Gaming....

I probably worded it wrong calling it Hardcore console supporter as Giraffe doesn't tend to think I am classed in that category .....

Don't like the term Fanboy as Fanboy buys just a single system or manufacturer and I dont ?

Personally when you spend the money I do on Games and Hardware I think I qualify as been pretty dam Hardcore.....

If I told him what I spent in the last 12 months at Shopto.net I think he may just change his point of view and opinion .

Someone that buys a product on day of release I consider hardcore,I don't just mean once I mean everytime a new generation or product surfaces and gets released .

I won't dare tell him.....I spent £700 on a imported Japanese Playstation 2 because in those days Europe had to wait at least 12 months after the Japanese launch and at least 6 after the U.S. launch.

Same with the Dreamcast,same with the GameCube ......now everything is released within days so no need to import....

I'm only joking with you mate, I would consider you a hardcore console owner with the amount you spend, It was just a little dig that you didn't get the XB1 on pre order when a hardcore console owner would of Again just taking the mick because you have both the XB1 and PS4 so clearly are a big console owner.

For me a fanboy is someone who just raves about one of them and slams the other side, Think yourself and your love of the PS4 but imagine you didn't have the XB1 (again just joking).

I used to import games for the PS2 as well although I got a chip fitted so my UK PS2 could play any region game as well because of the differing release dates, It also made the dvd part of it region free as well so I could watch US dvds 6months or so before they were available over here (often had them as they were hitting the cinema over here).

It's hard to get across sarcasm on a forum, I for one don't give a flying feck what people have or prefer to play etc,A gamer is a gamer as far as I'm conserned, I've loved my Spectrum computer, Amiga 500+, SNES, Megadrive, PS1 and PS2, Xbox , Xbox 360 and Xbox One and have built myself a PC that cost around £1000 (well £800 acually as the £330 motherboard actually cost me £130 after an amazon missprice), So I have no alliances to either side. If it wasn't for the (IMO) superior controller and online on the XB1 I would of made the switch back to the PS side of things but those things matter to me most in gaming so I can do without the subtle little difference in graphics that you can only really notice on some games if you stand still and look at the scenery close up. (If I really gave a hoot about graphics I'd use my PC)

I think you posted about this before and my reply is the same as before, this happens with all sorts of products, early adopters pay the most.

LCD tv's when a brand new tech would cost you thousands of pounds, brand new PC hardware costs extra the day its released, this also occured with theprevious gen of consoles as well. It is basic economics, you want it early, you pay more. Also the fact over time manufacturing costs go down.

I am hurting myself currently, so annoyed with amazon, I pre ordered kingdom hearts 2.5 hd remix limited edition, then got an email saying delayed till mid december, then another email saying delayed until after christmas, and when I rang they said the shipping date is 'unknown', I preordered 2 months in advance, how can they manage to understock it? since the limited edition is no longer made amazon have screwed me over, and now I have tried to order it from other places who claim to have in stock only to find they dont. Wont pre order from amazon again. I wlll probably end up having to buy the standard copy of game and dont get a limited version or buying a used copy for a inflated price.

You picked either Fifa 14 or Forza 5 and got it FREE with the console if you pre ordered the XB1, not sure how that's silly.

The PS4 must be throwing out some strange fumes from it if that was a silly thing to say LOL.

Only joking of course, Just find it strange that it's silly to get a console with a free game rather than wait a week or so and get it without a free game and pay the same price, You PS4 (fan)boys (joking) must be rich after saving money buying a PS4 instead of XB1 if getting a free game was silly.
