You seem to be bambling on about the ps4 in my pc thread, its as if you need to get out the PR.

I already said I respect people will disagree and have their reasons for using the PS4 or xboxone, but you still didnt accept it.

people will still buy xbox one's for purachasing habit's, a lot of people are not even aware of the changes going on in the PC market, plus there is probably still a lot of people who are used to using the xbox system and may prefer physical copies of games, adding to their xbox live achievments etc.

I think trying to sell consoles via exclusives is not a moral strategy, the merits of hardware shouldnt be decided by exclusives but for other things instead. Ultimately tho the money is made in the software not the hardware, the strategy I expect will be from microsoft's side to still have timed exclusives so the game will be delayed on PC.

Plan 1 was probably to sell the consoles and carry on how things went with the 360, but sales have been below expectations, and this reduces software sales due to a smaller market. Profits on steam games are lower for a few reasons (per copy sold) but the sales numbers are huge to make up for it.

Also I believe microsoft are planning to use xbox marketplace (via windows 10 app store?) to sell their games on windows vs using steam, they may also possibly attempt to charge pc gamers for online gaming via this as well. I say attempt as I think they will fail if they try such a stunt.

So its simple maths, more copies get sold if they pc+xbox1 vs just xbox1, and even more get sold if its pc+xbox1+xbox360, which is why last gen consoles havent died like some people hoped.

What I find strange is that some people think exclusives are a good thing, as if they been done a favour, exclusives are anti consumer as then the consumer has to make a choice between buying an expensive hardware just for that game or avoiding the game, it seems this time round much chose to avoid, hence the changes in the market. Square enix faced a massive backlash for trying to make ff15 console exclusive, they backed down. But their other 2 big 2 upcoming titles are still ps4 exclusive. The question is, is the payment from sony big enough to keep those exclusive, time will tell. If they stay ps4 exclusive the market size is around 20% of what it was when ff13 got released, so sales will potentially be devastating.

Remember the original business plan for xbox1.

Sales as strong as 360
Online digital market dominant in sales, as well as no second hand market.
Strong tv services.
Persistent online fees for netflix etc.

In terms of their business plan the xbox1 is a disaster.

Read my replies. I said I would like to buy a PC, as it offers the racing games I want in 4k. I am not a "fanboy"'. You just want to paint me as one.

You've gotten yourself all upset because you can't back up your claims, particularly the one about the PS4.
