twitch guy on console refreshes

he is suggesting what I said, backward compatibility will be important and it will be tough to keep consoles going for such long periods between refreshes.

although my view remains it wouldnt surprise me if sony move completely to cloud gaming which removes costs to them related to distributing hardware.

Cloud gaming sounds fun, but unless the quality has improved every example I've used seems to lack the sharpness in the graphics that you get with locally rendered material.

well its not happening now but I expect in 5 years or so time it will have improved a lot that cloud games will surpass what this current gen of hardware can do, nvidia shield already does cloud gaming.

It might be good enough for casuals or kids, but not for any gamers I know and I'm not what you would call particularly hardcore.

Other than the implementation of a revolution in communications, input lag will still be here in way past five years time.
