My first attempt was with the controller and I was trying to use the wheel, but it hadn't detected properly! It still isn't working properly and needs powering on/off to get it to detect properly, but that's either Thrustmaster firmware or a faulty wheel, not the game I think.

But there is no debate to be had Magoo. This is a bonafide racing simulator. Those used to Need For Speed type games need not apply.....they will embarrass themselves. tongue

Watch my later Escort RS1600 video and the Clio Cup video. It looks easy in the replays, but it ain't. And that's what's so good about proper racing sims. Sorts us old men out from the boys. wink

Horses for courses my friend just like you with the Game of the year Bloodborne, you gave up pretty quickly with frustration and thats exactly how i feel with this Project Cars and i just hate the way the game handles and i haven't got the time or patience to even bother with it.

Watching videos of the game is boring, playing it even more so tongue,so you get back up the corner of your room with your steering wheel contraption and enjoy yourself and i will play games that give me a thrill and driving games obviously don't do that regardless of looks.

I had more fun with Sega Rally on the dreamcast about 15 years ago and still to this day its not been bettered .

Crazy Taxi is about where i am with this sort of game,at least it was witty and fun.dedicated Driving sims are not for me.

I wish i had the patience to persevere with it mate and wished i actually liked these sort of games,i like arcade type racers if anything and these are way over my head.

Its got massive potential and I'm not literally going to tear it to shreds as many will adore the game in its own right.

Its a massive mistake i made purchasing it,and one day i may realise whatever it looks like its just not worth wasting my time and money on games i don't enjoy playing.

Im tempted to give it another play through before it ends up traded Monday, just to see if i can play it for more than a few minutes before it totally frustrates and bores me to death.

The trouble most casual racers will have is not being able to set the controls/cars up to make them drive-able, most of the cars that I've driven so far have needed some kind of tweaking but then you have the odd one that will go like stink and corner straight out of the box!!

Those are my type of cars but on the flip side to that it does feel good nailing lap times after you've set a car up that you couldn't even get round the first bend at your first attempt!!

It's a quality game there's no doubt about that and one I guarantee the likes of Nelly and myself maybe even Swanny will have hours and hours of fun/frustration playing wink
