I never called a 970m low end, I just made it clear a 970m is not on par with a normal 970. A 970 in itself is probably only considered a mid end card, maybe slightly above mid end but not high end. Which is now titan X and 295x2 territory.
Just buy the thing then enjoy it.
The most valuable data is from paying customers who are NOT bloggers and reviewers, they are more likely to be honest as they have not been given free products and dont rely on having early access to get traffic.
Bloggers and reviewers are also useful but dont take everything they say for granted, you have to be aware they have a relationship with the vendors. A prime example of this was the 970 3.5gig fiasco where conveniently every single reviewer managed to not notice the problem and published incorrect specs in their articles.
Yes nvidia has the higher market share even tho it costs more money, there is a reason for that, AMD last released a WHQL driver 6 months ago, and their software quality on linux (which I understand will be your platform) is even more in a bad state.
These are facts, you can ignore them and purchase, its your money not mine.
Project cars performance was so bad on AMD, customers accused the publisher of been in bed with nvidia.
