I would say its you been brand loyal to AMD.
Which is what you keep implying and is what I find so irritating. I have never been a fan boy of any platform, never criticised anybody for their chosen platform, or told them that their platform has way too little grass to even compare to mine. Yet you repeatedly level the same accusation.
I could post numerous links and testamonials from AMD users that urge people with lower budgets not to fall for the story's of doom should they follow the AMD route. That testify to the very little real difference to non elitist enthusiasts, between the two manufacturers.
I could post links to all of the comparison videos I have watched, but you'd say they're all getting backhanders.
I could post the tech blogs from developers who will tell you that Mantle is the product of developers pushing AMD and actually taking on the lion's share of the work in designing it. How they knew MS and NVIDIA were far to interested in protecting their competitive advantage to truly implement change. But you would likely denounce that as "concept" work.
I have done enough research to know that the differences are overstated. In case you're struggling with that definition, I'm not denying that NVIDIA and Intel are market leaders. Simply that there isn't the gulf in performance you keep alluding to.
Timey will buy the best of the best so he doesn't count. Swanny is tight as a ducks [censored] (like me) and favours cost. He might not fully understand the changes that are imminent. I'm not claiming that AMD are superior to the competition, just that it could well turn out that way. And anybody that has properly read up on the subject, will know it's far too early to claim NVIDIA is still the best bet. It seems that DX12 could well favour AMD currently, so nobody should be claiming a win just yet. And that's very important for those planning a build right now.
