So I guess you agree 4.3 is a min overclock to aim for but higher if possible.

In fairness I just like to fiddle with stuff, this msi board is a dream for overclocking and I've not had to alter any voltages even to achieve 4.5! I've even had my 1333 ram overclocked to 1886 stable

In truth though I can't really say that I've seen a performance increase with all this fiddling but maybe that's because my 760 is the bottleneck.

I plan to buy a gigabyte gtx 970 itx card in the near future.

I was telling Kila about a nice small form Lian Li case when I started to properly plan my build, but it was 40-50 quid more expensive than the Node 304. If money was no object and all that, I think it would have won the day.

I see it on my system, not just in games either.

But games that do stretch my cpu are dragon age inquisition (often all 4 cores over 90%), gta5 when you have the advanced graphics options enabled. Plus various old games which are single core only and max out one core.

If you on stock voltage with 4.5 on haswell then that indeed is an excellent overclock.

If you go nvidia and are happy with 1080p a gtx 970 is still the best card in my view.

It's arriving Monday now, but my new wireless keyboard might not. I might have to crack out the old one as I must admit the new gadget feeling is now washing over me. I'm getting a little excited about getting on Steam and dowoading Dirt Rally.

Hopefully Kila will be available for helpdesk duties next week.
