Firstly it will be Xbox and windows 10 games that use xbox live but it's also open to other platforms

I can't imagine how Live and PSN could work together to achieve this in terms of netwok certification requirements, but it would be utterly amazing if they did!

This has happened already with the 360 and Windows PC cross platform. Don't think it was very popular with with 360 players, PC players having the edge. Pretty sure, Lost Planet series was one such game.

if they limiting it to windows 10 its kind of sucky tho. Rocket league is a game that works on older versions of windows but will the cross play be windows 10 gamers only?

I think what is happening here is because microsoft have released a bad console (losing to ps4), then they are trying to make windows 10 their main platform, it wont happen over night, but its my hunch this is now their long term aim.

I would only be interested in it for co op to be honest, if co op is even possible that way. I don't even use a mouse when pc gaming, so I'd stand no chance either way!

But would be nice to play cross platform with those wonky controller supporters.

I asked on steam, for rocket league cross play is on all versions of windows, so basically this isnt a windows 10 only thing (except for new microsoft games which will only be launched on windows 10).
