what is interesting is you say you will neve rlike jrpg's but modern western games have been taking jrpg elements.

This is why I am interested in this game.

I would say the main difference between this game and a action jrpg, is it is guns instead of things like swords and magic, and the social element of the game.

Would you say social co-op type play is important for games you play?

Sadly the importance of the social impact of this game has kept me away from it.

It has many rpg elements and is best played with other players but i have done most of it on my own at present, you don't need to have friends when playing as you can just join other groups or basically call other people into your story and progress that way.

Take away the guns and i probably wouldn't be interested, you should just watch some Twitch streams and make your own mind up as i know your not really interested in shooters and this game is a shooter no doubt about it,but it has many rpg elements of which you like.

And where did you disappear to last night? Didn't your mum ever teach you to at least say "thanks for having me" before sloping off? confused

You can play alone, even though its a bit harder and accordingly repetitive.

I play quite a lot alone. This is typical of solo gameplay.
