In reply to a post by jorkila:
The thing that will disappoint you is the fact there will be no PS4 Neo exclusives, unfortunately they will be made for PS4 then upscaled by the PS4 Neo!!

They got to say that haven't they as that would probably alienate 30 million playstation 4 customers.

i don't believe for one minute that a game won't look and play better on the playstation 4.5 update.

I thought I read somewhere that developers can add extra features for the Neo, but it has to be on the same base disc. But you're right, Sony plainly seem to be making sure that the only "gaming" advantage of the Neo, is upscaling to 4k.

That's spot on for Timey and his TV.

I have read a statement that says something like this.

No extra gameplay elements on the ps4 neo. So this means no extra game modes, unique features/content etc.
Extra graphics quality allowed.
Higher framerates allowed.
Higher resolution allowed.
Games cannot be exclusive to the neo.

So in short its going to be like a game on a pc has multiple modes to choose from, the ps4 neo will have games set to higher modes in the graphics code. This I am sort of neutral on.
The framerate stability is a concern, in my view developers should aim for a solid steady framerate on both consoles but my fear is that they will only aim to do this on the neo model with the base model having juttery framerates.

I wonder what they will want for the neo? I bet it's not worth it just for 4k

if they play games at 4k then the API must be extremely good. Even a gtx 980 TI cannot do 4k at decent framerates without SLI.

well more in the way of upscaling then wink,I'm sure whatever happens and gets released it will have to have some plus points for consumers willing to upgrade, like i said if this is purely VR related then I'm not interested in the slightest.

Sony would be a fool to do a upgrade on a 2.5 year old system just for the VR,when they don't even know how well it will sell.

To buy both your talking at least £700 to £800
