And you don't have to mess about with batteries or recharging

Which mouse did you go for? I'm not using a keyboard, so I want a fair few buttons!

I've got the G502 which is meant to be the bees knees. It has slots for four or five weights that I can put in the bottom, which is cool. But I really hate the button placements. I've got quite big hands, so long fingers, yet I still feel that I'm stretching to reach over the rear of the body to get to the buttons.

I didn't choose it, it came with the package, and it is a superb mouse. If I were using a keyboard, I probably wouldn't need more than 3 extra mouse buttons.

Nice mouse.

This is the one I got. Obviously won't be the same quality but it does feel solid and comfortable to use. Only has 7 buttons but plenty for how I use it.

This may be a stupid question by why aren't you using a keyboard ? smile

Ive never used one for gaming before, still breaking myself in gently - mouse first, then keyboard. smile

Also I'm not at a desk, so need to have a serious think about where and how I'm going to set everything up in the long term!

Mouse
Keyboard

Ahh. So you mean you are using a controller for movement ? sounds awkward. Probably best to just use both mouse and keyboard at the same time, especially as you got a nice bit of kit, shouldn't take too long to get used to. Just stick to single player games as first smile

You're half right!

Like this: https://youtu.be/px8O6kcHA6M

The analogue stick is better than a keyboard, no question. But you need to plan your mapping carefully. I can still set my keyboard up adjacently, to cover any awkward key assignments I might want. I just need to figure out the right "desk / no desk" setup in my lounge. smirk Hmmmmm...

I bought the XIM4 because the suggested software variant with Better DS3 tool etc, was too much faffing about.
