Bt Voyager 2091 unlocked problem

[link to this post]

I got a BT Voyager 2091 for my parents christmas I tested it on mine for 3 days so I knew it worked, and factory resetted it before I gave it to them, now I cant get it to work, went into admin account, then it wouldnt let me into the router, then it did, but when I did quick setup it failed first time, second time it worked, and I tested the 2 other accounts and it didnt work, now it wont work on admin either, and wont let me into the routers config page.

The Pc is only 2 years old and a good sped(2.8 Celeron D) and im connecting via Ethernet,

I think maybe the old Tiscali broadband connection is affecting it as if I go into IE it tells me the web page is not available offline and the dial up box appears,

any advice?

The exact problem comes up as admin control list, what is this and how do I change it?

Are these accounts on the router????? or on your pc?

That should be no big deal. Understand please, that the router is NOT a peripheral of the pc, it is a computer in its own right. Therefore, I would only expect 1 account for setting the router, held on the router itself. It will not matter which account on your pc is used, either you can access the router via all or via none of your pc accounts

You should have dialup internet connection disabled if you are using a router.

Can you ping the router, and have you taken into account that when you reset it, you would have reset the LAN interface IP address to a factroy default? IS the ethernet interface on the pc set to get its IP address by DHCP?

Lol trust me I know technical stuff, the accounts I mean are on the PC not the router,

And yes I kjnow Dial up broadband will affect it, but its my parents PC(I got them router for christmas) and my dad wont let me remove or add anything to PC, I said it would be better to delete dial uip BB, and he wouldnt let me, and moaned.

And yes I know what happens when I reset router!

Anyway its working on each account except mine now, just says web page unavailable offline, think its just the way my dads account(admin on PC) has setup security, its annoying, but I wasnt too bothered as I used my laptop which required no setup as it was wireless.

Why ask for advice if all you are going to do is snap when someone gives it to you.

Frankly with what you have put, I would have said you know very little about setting up a router and what not, so the advice given asking you questions so someone may be able to help is valid.

To be honest with an attitude like

"trust me I know technical stuff"

and

"And yes I know what happens when I reset router! "

You should be able to figure it out yourself then.

I wasnt snapping, dont know where you got that from!

I dont know how to put this without offending you, but you are the one who has just snapped, I wrote posts in a rush, as I was getting moaned at by my dad, and he kept butting in trying to set it up, then moaned at me that it was all my fault.
