DMT tool help needed please

Im having some real problems in getting this to work, l have downloaded the relevent file for my router(speedtouch546).

Problem is lm trying to be able to adjust my snr but after clicking on special then misc options then clicking on unlock experimental area the slider bar to adjust the snr is just plain grey and no options l have posted some screenshots to hopefully show people what lm trying to say.

You dont appear to have been logged into the router in the 1st pic, when you were displaying the noise margin adjustment.
If you login to the router using DMT and go there again it should allow you to adjust it.

Ive tried loging into DMT using my login and password details suppiled by UKFSN the same l used to log into the router but it wont connect to DMT the login and password tabs just flash red.

Any more help please.

you log in to the router with something like admin and admin

I think the default for a Speedtouch is Administrator for user and nothing (i.e. leave blank) for the password. The OP could try telnetting into it first (probably 192.168.1.254) and if that works put the same settings into DMT.

Tried logging in using admin and admin but no joy.

You appeared to have managed to login to the router using DMT in the 2nd picture.

Just tried logging in as Administrator and leaving the password blank thought it had worked but then l was just the same as the pic in link 2 of my first post ie no option of unlocking the hidden area to even get to the snr slider bar.

So what you're saying is you get something like this but the Noisemargin slider is greyed out?

Edited to say - Sorry, just realised - as rogan8 says in your second picture you appear to be logged in. Do you get the expected menu, can you check the right box and if so what then happens?
