Except it's not like mine, as the last two tabs are missing. Your picture doesn't show your menus at the top. Can you get Special/Misc.Options/, can you check the "unlock experimental area" box, and what happens when you click "Save/Close"

supermantis is trying to get the two extra tabs (modemoptions and moptions2) that will enable him/her to adjust the SNR margin.

Do you get the expected menu, can you check the right box and if so what then happens?

Could be - I'm not up on 546 firmware. You did install v7.34 of DMT didn't you?

How far along the menu route can you get?

Start/Run and then type in cmd and Return. That should open a DOS window. Type in telnet 192.168.1.254 and Return. Enter Administrator for user, just hit Return again for the password and you should have a nice fancy Speed touch graphic. Type exit to break the connection and again to exit.

It depends on the model. For the 585 like mine firmware 6.1 is adjustable, 6.2 onwards isn't. It isn't DMT's fault - Thomson removed the functionality that DMT presents in a user-friendly form. This could well be your problem.

Edited to say - I've just checked another posting and I'm pretty sure 6.2 onwards firmware won't adjust the SNR margin for any Speedtouch model.
