wireless or not

when geting broadband I allways get a wireles conection ! Is there another type? I dont want wireless I only use the one desk top pc not a laptop I am led to belive some users can pigy-back on wireless conections right/rong I dont know can some one with more knoweledge advise me prety new to all this new stuf.

if you are given a wireless router you can turn the wireless off. Most ISPs ship with wireless security enabled these days - ask if this is the case.

If you buy your own kit you can have a wired-only router.
