A wi-fi hot spot, or they are using a VPN from Monzoon, so traffic is encryped on UK networks

The router could be connecting wirelssly to the internet is what MrSaffron is saying, even though you are wired to the router.

www.speedtest.net will tell you the (underlying) ISP though not necessarily who is being paid for it..

The computer you are connecting through has a VPN that starts on the computer and emerges onto the Internet in Switzerland.

I suggest you talk to the person who owns said computer, just in case there are traffic limits etc on the VPN, or it is meant for work purposes only.

I forget what installs that, something pretty standard. They just have google set as the Home Page.

Just use the url entry area at the top as usual.

LOL if there are traffic limits or anything im owned. I've been downloading at over 360kb/s for like 4 hours now. I guess i should check in future the details of the internet access at places i stay at before i use them.
