Panorama: Digital Economy Bill

[link to this post]

According to this page the Lib Dems claim to have watered down Mandleson's Bill enough that throttling and cut off will be in accordance with due process of law (Innocent til proven guilty) and these measures are an absolute last resort for worst offenders. Am I reading this right?

Interesting that the Lib/Dem statement actually gives some concrete details as opposed to pure waffle from the Tories.

I read the statement the same way as you did (I think).

Well it sounds like a more measured approach if true. I don't know what the Tories are playing at the don't seem to be giving detail on anything at the moment, and they wonder why they are neck and neck in the polls.

Best party based on how they deal with light-fingered internet users ?

I think there are more important issues out there, TBH.

There was the clause 17 opposition, and other areas that are not as harsh now.

Interesting comments from one artist, music industry is thriving, recording industry is dying.

TV Series have adapted to some extent, with UK and US release dates that are now same week in a number of cases.
