There are probably several hundred a day, or more likely several thousand. Could you be a bit more specific?

For instance, is your broadband not working, and if not what exchange and ISP?

Our broadband connection has become practically unusable - our ISP has released a statement that BT are experiencing issues with the 21CN network and we wondered if anyone else was experiencing the same thing ?

We primarily use the line for VoIP and calls are breaking up/cutting off. Some simple ping tests show a large amount of packet loss and this is also reflected in the statement issued by the ISP.

Shrewsbury exchange and Xilo ISP.

Slightly reluctant to include Xilo as the issue is clearly not their fault (http://status.xilo.net/). Just looking to see how widespread the problem is.

Unlikely as it is with BT's passion for communicating, if anyone knows any sort of timeframe on a resolution to this that would be great - we're at a standstill here !

That's why I wanted to know the ISP smile. They talk sense, some others talk utter rot.

I'll see what I can find.

This is affecting links between the network to BT, and they're "investigating". Unfortunately, as yet, there has not been any great progress on their behalf as it appears they are not sending us traffic over all links.

We will update the status page as and when we get more information.

Can't find anything specifically affecting Shrewsbury but there are reports like the xilo status one around. Definitely looks as though Openreach aren't saying anything useful.

Afraid you will just have to wait for BT to fix it frown.

Thanks RobertoS

We did debate very carefully using a BT product. We have never had a good experience personally and whats in these forums doesn't encourage you.

Should have gone with LLU frown

Do you have the option of LLU? Maybe drop us an email/phone call (tomorrow) and we can discuss if we can provide an alternative service.

To give an idea of the problem we're seeing:

Only affecting some customers that go via 21CN (ADSL2+ BT and FTTx services).

Thanks very much for the information Matt, very informative.

We're very tempted to switch to LLU and we do have the option, just comes down to the timescales involved.

What you get on decent LLU is streets ahead of what you get on a BT Wholesale circuit like yours. Xilo/uno ones are "decent"!
