Speedtest result less the router stats..

why does a speedtest not come close to what my router says...

or have i just read it wrong or something?

btw do you think i will get a higher connection speed (still got 5 days of line testing left) or i've already got the fastest speed i can get?

Connection speed may give 1Mbps more in ideal setups, but I expect you are at the top for Sky.

Try www.speedtest.net . Sometimes the peering between tbb and Sky is poor.

Well I'm happy with speed I've got, used to be on 1mb. But I wouldn't say no to 1/2 - 1 mb more

The highest possible download speed on ADSLx is about 84% of connection speed, (on an uncontended service which Sky certainly isn't). You are as near that as you could realistically hope for.

ok..well 5 days left of line testing left. But my line seems stable at that speed well router says i've been connected for 166 hours and counting . So at worse my line won't or can't get any quicker .

Now what to download lol
