I have noticed in my Billion 7700N router under xDSL stats that it shows data for Path 0 and another column for Path 1. Under the latter all entries are zero.
Could someone explain please the relevance of the two paths.

You can actually have two virtual connections with DSL, and this was traditionally done for IPTV services delivered over the DSL infrastructure.
