Looks like my line is exceeding expectations, OR, http://speedtest.btwholesale.com is borked !
Download speedachieved during the test was - 74.1 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 16 Mbps-82.99 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 82.99 Mbps

Quite a few users have seen higher IP Profiles than their 40Mb or 80Mb capped services should be able to provide recently.
Their actual sync speeds are still capped though.
Via your contacts, are you able to find out if this could be some sort of testing for possible increased capping levels, say to 100Mb?
If it is and if the 96.79% IP Profile rule still applies, it suggests your connection could achieve a sync speed of around 85.7Mb.

Looks normal here...
Download speedachieved during the test was - 72.92 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 16 Mbps-75.05 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 75.05 Mbps
Well...when I say "normal" I mean normal for the last month (prior to that I was on a maximum IP profile ever since the rollout of 80Mbps) - still not sure why my line has dropped a few Mbps (possibly interleaving being switched on - and you know what a PITA it is to get that removed, or DLM following a Christmas lights episode hasn't/won't finish bringing back that last 5%).

Similar here: Download speedachieved during the test was - 61.58 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 16 Mbps-63.51 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 63.51 Mbps
(Interleave is also on, I get another ~6Mbps on fastpath)
About the only abnormal result of that test is that I didn't get the "Busy- try again later" message

No Bald, I am at the very bottom of the food chain.

No my maximum sync rate was/is less than 80, I sync at around 74000Kbps.

Still showing the same ? Might crank up the JDSU and take a look see.

No my maximum sync rate was/is less than 80, I sync at around 74000Kbps. So something is broken if you're getting a higher IP profile than sync speed.

Yes Phil, that would be my guess too.

yarwell how can someone get a 82meg profile on a product which has a max sync speed of 80meg?
BT Infinity 2 Since Dec 2012 - Estimate 65.9/20 - Attainable peak 110/36 - Current Sync 71/20

how do you know you syncing at 74meg?
74meg throughput suggests much higher sync, it actually suggests a sync at 80meg.

yarwell how can someone get a 82meg profile on a product which has a max sync speed of 80meg? From the program reporting it, or the program setting it, being buggy. As per the link given to this happening a month ago.
There's even a possibility Zarjaz hasn't re-sync'ed since that bug occurred, and if he did so now he would get normal results. (Zarjaz?)
An 80Mbps sync gives 77.43Mbps IP Profile. A 74Mbps speedtest sounds quite feasible to me.

I agree, the only problem been he says he only has a 74meg sync.

yarwell how can someone get a 82meg profile on a product which has a max sync speed of 80meg? by something being broken, like I said. Higher profile speeds exist in the product portfolio, but that's not an excuse.

I know I sync at 74000Kbps because I have a JDSU.

I know I sync at 74000Kbps because I have a JDSU.
Surely it's possible for the JDSU and the modem to synchronise at slightly different speeds. They are different VDSL devices, after all.
|
|
|
Yes, the JDSU will sync at a slightly lower rate than that achieved by the VDSL modem, but not enough difference to cause the discrepancy I am talking about.

Have you done a re-sync Zarjaz? As I mentioned earlier to Chrysalis?

then something is a amiss, you wont get 74mbit throughput on a 74mbit sync.
