Thanks for the link, but I'm happy to run 6.1 as it allows use of DMT.

Fair enough - as you say 6.1.4.6 and later don't work fully with DMT...

If all else fails you could perhaps try a generic firmware in an attempt to get the WLAN settings accessible if wireless connectivity is essential for it's use.

Best of luck smile

It does have the external 'rubber duck' type on the back.

I was wondering if I could flash it with a backup taken from the working one?

Is it expendable? Try it if you like, think I would use other methods first though...however others may have successfully done it. I have a backup of my v7 but would certainly be reluctant to use it for another v7 - would rather do a factory reset and install generic firmware if need be.

I'd open it up and check that any wireless daughter board has not worked loose.

On the old netgear routers the wireless was on a small card that could potentially wobble loose over time.

Opened it up. Everything is soldered together, no sign of any connectors or ribbon cables, except for the antenna one.

It would seem to be screwed. I'll leave it on for 24 hours as Bill suggested, but I don't hold out much hope.
