BT Yahoo Mail.

A few months back BT announced they were changing email suppliers (from Yahoo to Critical Path) and my logon screen had lots of messages saying thing were changing, click here to read all about it etc.. We'll let you know when it happens.

A couple of days ago my logon screen changed back to the old BT Yahoo screen, make Yahoo the centre of your universe etc. - no mention of any changes.

Anyone know what is happening - are BT changing, have they changed, have they changed their minds, have I missed something ?

It has gone a bit quiet, I agree.

The MX record for Critical Path is still there:

btinternet.com MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mx-bt.mail.am0.yahoodns.net
btinternet.com MX preference = 1, mail exchanger = mx.bt.lon5.cpcloud.co.uk

Interesting that the CP A record for mail.btinternet.com has vanished though:

Addresses: 217.146.188.192
46.228.39.153
Aliases: mail.btinternet.com
pop-smtp.bt.mail.yahoo.com

As this is about BT Yahoo I will post here. I have had a BT Yahoo email for years and when it was talk21. Have received an email from BT, that BT yahoo is to close in september.

You will need to have BT broadband or pay £1.60 month if you want to keep it.

I have my PN mail going to BT yahoo. before anyone suggests G mail. I won't touch google spy mail and old hotmail, is now rubbish. Not paying BT for it either.

I use www.gmx.com. Allows import of other email addresses
