What are these poles?

As mentioned in previous post my estate in Winwick Warrington, was really far from the exchange and BT had used grey DSLAM cabinets.

3 out of the 5 cabs on the estate have been replaced with more standard green ones and we have been told Fibre is coming very soon.

The cab I am connected to was done yesterday and the engineer confirmed fibre is coming being funded by Connecting Cheshire.

The new green cab is in but we also have these two poles on either side of the road, does anyone know what they are for? Im guessing is it to blow fibre down? Just seems a bit odd.

They just look like normal council street signage poles. For parking instructions etc.

roadworks.org says:
"Renew Existing 1 PCP cabinet and base (600mm x 300mm x 1000mm),Install 7m of 3 poly ducts in Footway."

I feel such an idiot now! Yes that probably is the case, it was just they got added at exactly same point as the new cab was fitted on the same day

Strange the 'roadworks' site doesn't show what the council are up to...

Even the Council probably doesn't know what it's up to
