Speed test failure

[link to this post]

Since the new setup (which I do quite like) I have been unable to use the speed tester on TBB.. The arrow is frozen
on zero and the whole thing stops at the end of step 2..
Any ideas about what I can do?

Windows 10. In case it matters I'm using a Lenovo laptop about three or four years old.

I've known confusion arise in the past, so although my question I think is relevant, (re HTML5 support), I was glad I got in first.

The OP's nick is fine really, but I wuz 'ere furst Zir!

Unlike Roberto5 who has even been removed from the database. That was set up intentionally to appear the same and cause trouble. It got stamped on very quickly smile.

That should be OK from the HTML5 side then, that I just mentioned the others. I was wondering if you were on something much older.

This is the version running at http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest

Which is also lives on a breakout page at http://labs.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest

There was a bug fix that may have impacted non-UK isp testing that was fixed in the last hour.

Are you totally sure you are not still running the old flash version, which has some issues at present, but sorting out the main tester issues for the few who seem to be having issues.

What browser in Windows 10? Do you have Edge Creator update installed?

As MrSaffron says re the flash test. If you are using a bookmark/favourite to get to the test you possibly need to replace the link with one to the new one. It's probably the same but starting with https: not http:

Trying again this morning when rather more awake. Having reread all of yesterdays responses I realised I should have tried Firefox as well as Chrome (my usual) It worked perfectly well. Sorry to have wasted every one's time. Why Chrome objects to it I can't guess but maybe they will sort it in due course.
