Hi, I have a new customer in a local village whos data I believe Openreach have recorded incorrectly.
The Broadband Availability Checker shows them on an Exchange Only line, however a few years ago, Openreach installed a Cab outside the exchange (in the village) and transferred all lines to the Cab.
I have had one other customer in the village with the same problem, but I was able to resolve that by talking to a helpful Openreach engineer outside the exchange.
I have tried to raise this through the ISP (BT Retail), but they continually failed to understand the issue or manage to offer any assistance.
Can anyone advise where I can raise this issue?

In the drop down select the option I cannot get broadband but my neighbours can.
Failing that just take it to the CEO.

That's would be in breach of data protection act as why would Openreach will listen to u Andrew Ferguson, let alone as OBE awards by the Queen's Birthday Honours. He should email to Openreach himself.
PN FTTC 80/20 since 2014

I don't think you understand the DPA as it is totally irrelevant here. Andrew has contacts in OpenReach who can check addresses are properly recorded - the DPA does not come into it. You seem to be giving a lot of very poor advice just recently.

"That's would be in breach of data protection act"
You need to read and understand what the act is about.

Thats not true, if it was then how did I get Openreach to resolve issues in their database for several addresses in my village, they gave me their details and I passed that onto BT Openreach along with additional information and within a few days it was resolved.
Sure the OP could just fill in that form that witchunt linked to, or they could contact BT Openreach via Twitter.

Why would it?

Many of their posts come from the land of make believe. He tries to wind us all up I believe. Writes these nonsense statements for the thrill of drama. Anyway, hope this gets sorted.

He tries to wind us all up I believe. Writes these nonsense statements for the thrill of drama. Sadly it looks to me more about attention seeking, we would all be better off not acknowledging/engaging with it when it happens as I don't think it helps him or anyone.

I believe Max has some mental (or other) health issues (I seem to recall he himself mentioning it over on the Kitz forums - so I'm being serious and not flippant when saying this). I don't really like saying it out in public as its not my cross to bear, however some people may be taking some of his comments at face value and reacting to them in the heat of the moment, rather than considering what issues may be behind them.
If I'm wrong, I apologise Max, but I could swear I saw you mention it, unless my memory is horribly failing me.

Thanks all for the info - I have raised it with OpenReach via the Fibre Broadband Availability form.
So far they have complained that I have the wrong address (directed them to the PO PAF data) and then informed me that FTTC isn't available in the area!
I'll give them one more chance to reply before taking you up on your offer Andrew

Just a quick update to say that this has now been resolved thanks to Andrew and his contacts in OpenReach.
Unfortunately, trying to raise it through the official channels got me nowhere.

Glad it got sorted.
