Another useful monitoring tool

[link to this post]

I saw this on hacker news recently (it has been around for years though) and think it is another useful tool to have for checking your connection.
It is pretty self explanatory and there is a Github for the details but it is like a realtime BQM when you need some quick data to check a connection.

Tool - http://gfblip.appspot.com/

Github - https://github.com/apenwarr/blip

That's not actually how you report spam, you either a) ignore it, or b) post in TTTS. (or c) use the report this post option if you have it)

I don't know anything about this tool but I would question why the OP would bother SPAMing after 19 years of being a member and 200+ posts. I would take a good guess and say its extremely unlikely.

Blip is a useful tool, and IMO is on-topic for this forum. It's not spam.

100%.

Both the OP and subject are completely kosher

The “spam” was a false flag. Perhaps raised by mistake.

I think you are being very generous.

🙂

Blip (the tool in question) was similarly brought up in a thread last week over at ISPreview.

Similar reason for it being raised there as here in the OP, despite it being around for a good few years, it recently surfaced again on hackernews. Perhaps Max saw that reference and thought “spam”
