Swish Fibre & Openreach

[link to this post]

Hi all,
Was just looking to get some clarification really on whether Swish Fibre uses the Openreach network, the same as BT, Plusnet, Sky etc or are they a separate provider, similar to Virgin?

I've had such a bad experience with Openreach with an on going outage that I'd happily leave BT if Swish is it's own thing.

Thanks,
Ben

Swish operate their own FTTP network, but may share some of Openreach’s duct space/poles

Swish also provide a synchronous service where Openreach are normally asynchronous.

OPNSense on Topton J4125 - SWISH Fibre 900
PiHole/AdGuard home - Unifi for Wifi

I think you mean Symmetrical/asymmetrical .

Asynchronous v Synchronous….

I thought we were about to enter a debate on SDH/SONET versus ATM 🙃😅
