Talk Talk selling up

[link to this post]

So according to this article - https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2026/01/broadb... it looks like Talk Talk are looking for bidders of the various arms of their business

The consumer and business customers i would imagine would be relatively easy to migrate over to the network of whoever buys them, but how does this work for their PXC wholesale division?

Lots of smaller ISPs resell Talk Talk and my ISP - Pulse8 are one of them, so how would this work for a potential buyer? Would the ISP have to find a new reseller for example? The network itself is very good and has a good reputation for resellers, so would be a shame to lose it.

A sale of an ongoing busy will usually see services and contracts moved across so service would continue as per contract...

This isn't really news. Rebranding its wholesale business was an indication early on but it's common knowledge TalkTalk isn't performing quite as well as expected. Someone would only buy the retail business if there was value in it, so I don't expect them to stop selling or it would defeat the point of buying it. The only issue could be rationalising the customer base and say focus on bigger resellers rather than smaller ones, but I wouldn't think it would have any short term impact so I woudn't worry. I'm sure you'll be looked after by your ISP in any case.
