DNS

Is there anything to be gained by using different DNS servers? If there is then what should I look for regarding whos DNS servers to use. The reason I ask is because I read a post that mentioned OpenDNS so I am trying these.

One reason for using OpenDNS and others are they are public DNS servers, it seems that most ISP's now restrict requests to those coming from their own network
