Line Attenuation

[link to this post]

My exchange was Congested RED for a long time, it has just gone GREEN and my downstream attenuation has just dropped. It was always around 34.5db but when I checked today it has gone down to 15.5db.

Wow, is this normal when a congestion problem has just been sorted?

I am being enabled on BE* unlimited on 28th so interesting to see how that goes now.

Exchange congestion does not affect line attenuation. Either something physically changed with your line or your router is/was telling porkies.
Have you update its firmware by chance? Its not a voyager 2091 is it?

A lot of routers sometimes show 15.5 as attenuation, it's a bug. if you reboot it will probably go back to normal.
