Broadband Time

Hi there, I am after a timer for my ADSL connection. Basically I want to block certain IP's accessing the internet after a certain time.

I have seen a similar facility on a BT Business router (2 wire 2700).

I have a 2wire 2700, is this possible? Also is there something similar that could be used if I can't use the 2wire?

quite a lot of routers have access controls and time based schedulers. Some of them even work. I set one up on a Linksys WRT54G for a parent.

Any alcatel chipset routers you recommend for this yarwell?

Alcatel or Broadcom (as used in Speedtouch routers)?

The Netgear DG834v4 (Broadcom) has it and, from memory, the v3 and v2 have it as well (AR7)

That's why I asked if he meant Broadcom (instead of Alcatel), because I'm pretty sure the Belkin 7633 can do it too.

I've got a 2wire 2700 which I know with the BT Business firmware has access controls. I've got the american firmware though. Is it possible?

My only other router is a ST585v6. I don't really want to get rid of this router as it performs well on my line but it's no mega problem.

Hence why I wanted an alcatel/broadcom chipset.
