Your sync depends only on your phone line, internal wiring, and router. It is independant of network load. To get any sensible replies you'll have to post up the connection stats from your router.
Same happened round here early this year. When i went round to 8 of my friends houses all our sync speeds had dropped between 1 and 2 meg. And its permanent . I went from 7.2 meg to 5.9 - 6.1 at best now. My conclusion is when BT were replacing a lot of underground cabling a few hundred metres away ( which meant all the phones were off ) they probably put aluminium back in or something .
Or replacement of the DSLAM's with WBC-capable kit.
More than one Entanet user has reported sync speed drops on good high-speed lines, not long ones, when moved to the WBC platform even though still on ADSL(1).
