I am about to move into a new house and as such I was planning on ringing up BT tomorrow to get the phone line connected. A conversation with a friend who is also moving in to this new house has raised a question.
He has yet to cancel his current bt contract so has suggested that we maybe just get his account moved to the new line. Which to me sounds good in theory except he also hasn't cancelled his broadband. I assume this is attached to the phone line rather than his account?
Basically I want to be able to sign up to an ISP ASAP. If his current ISP is going to prevent me doing so then I would rather just sign up a new account with BT...
TIA
