pipex

i am having peoblems with pipex they have said today iam still with them even though iam now no longer with them and my old number is still in use i called them today and said i told you i was going last month i even wrote to them and told them iam now dreading the fianl bill as i know it will be wrong then they wanted to know my new number i said no your not knowing it he goes i can give you 10 pounds credit for being messed about whats the point of that when iam no longer with them any help please most welcome from westlifefan

Maybe not helpful, but on original post hard to say anything too concrete...

e.g. if a migration then the billing side of things can be messy and benefits from you ensuring ISP knows you have now properly left.

It is entirely feasible that user is with another ISP, but pipex has not received the notification of the move.

Sounds like they are trying to say sorry and offer you compensation for your trouble.
Try and get the apology in writing or in an email, and try and get them to send you the credit as a cheque.
