We get clearer. You have actually now confirmed my diagnosis of my problem. To me that is a bug as with donkey's years of programming in many languages there can be no need for that restriction. At least I now know how to work round the problem, which was caused by an Italian email host for some reason blacklisting Tsohost SMTP server and rejecting my emails to a user of that Italian host. I can alter the default temporarily to send through O2 SMTP but with it still being sent from the required domain.

Re what you were trying to help me with, the domains all serve different purposes and I just find it more convenient for the way I work to keep the Inboxes and folders/sub-folders separate, ie within the domain accounts. I actually like it the way it is.

So for example, on robertos domain everything pertaining to it is in there with no trouble, and clicking the Reply button on an email automatically picks up the right SMTP server.

It would be highly inconvenient to have robertos stuff in a folder in the Local Folders, mixed in with folders for all the other domains and sub-folders within that.

Just the way I ike to organise my filing. Your needs and likes are different, but I'm happy how I am and clearly you are happy the way you have it. That is one of the beauties of the very flexible way TB can be configured .

Don't you just hate "features" that unnecessarily restrict you!

Still you have a simple avoidance; create a copy of the 1st, TsoHost, a/c but with an alterable SMTP and use that in future.

Virgilio accepted a repeat of the email Sun 17:02, and in the unlikely event anything similar happening in the future the O2 SMTP is always there - just alter the default and select it on the other accounts.

I'd rather keep the screen space. The new account anyway would be at the bottom, and it is the most used.
