Hi
I've recently bought a new build flat in a central London area. I've just found out that I can only use a single broadband/ phone line provider (a new company called 'See the Light') as no other companies (e.g. BT, Virgin, etc.) are allowed to connect to the fibre optic cables installed by this company at the property. Despite pre-purchase enquiries etc. by my solicitor, this information has only just come to light and it somehow just doesn't sit well with me as there is no market competition to drive the prices down. As it is, it will cost me double the amount I wanted to pay for broadband/ phone line (although they supposedly provide services at much faster speeds of 10mb + min.). Is this even legal? If so, is there any way I can get around having to pay so much money for basic broadband requirements?
Thanks for any help!
