Unexpected streaming/phantom usage

[link to this post]

I had the snooker from Glasgow streaming on a BBC page.

I decided I had had enough and navigated away from the page.

The streaming continued. Fortunately I spotted it as Networks is running. So I navigated back to the page and sure enough it started going again. I had to click the Stop button.

This sort of thing may account for the phantom usage some people experience.

Is it using Flash Video?
Sounds a bit like the issue discussed here a while ago: http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/general/3671016-bew...

I can remember the thread as I was affected, I see you also commented.
Haven't got time to read more that the first few posts at the moment so I'm not sure how it all ended up... But it's not something I'm still seeing.
