SamKnows Broadband Performance Measurement Study

[link to this post]

Does anyone know what is actually going on regarding the SamKnows Broadband Performance Measurement Study. It looked worth joining it and I was sent an e-mail asking me to do a speed test after which was told We now have all your relevant ISP details and you're just the kind of person we're looking for. So welcome to the SamKnows community!. This was on the 12thoctober. Since then I have e-mailed SamKnows to ask about it but never had a reply or further communication aboy the Study at all.

Ofcom has published results from the study twice, and some providers are buying some routers to use it for their own testing, beyond that no idea.

SamKnows emphasis is looking more US based now with the FCC contract

I was in the 2nd phase of Sam's UK rollout ie some considerable time ago. Earlier this year I noticed I could no longer access my line's personal stats. Two emails to the published contact point have gone unacknowledged. It's not a huge issue, but it's an unimpressive response.

Shame really. Maybe Sam's gone corporate.

I just logged in and checked my stats. Working fine.

Sam's site went corporate ages ago, before the first UK test, I joined in the spring this year.

They're were only accepting applications from certain ISPs when I joined, as they had lots from others, and not enough from the smaller ones.

I emailed ages ago. I have one of the original Neoware boxes as some of my graphs don't populate. Never got a reply. frown
