SNR Margin per Tone

[link to this post]

Hi

I live a short distance from the exchange (<200meters) and get the full 8mb.

My current stats are (downstream) : Attn 6db, NM: 11db

However, my noise margin can dip to <5db and sometime low enough to cause a resync - i also see a fair few (100 per hour) CRC errors.

A couple of times this resyncing has caused my SNR Target to be raised and as a result I end up with <8Mb.

I have a new router and it allows me to plot SNR per Tone, and I was wondering if anyone could take a look at the output and let me know if they can see annything wrong with certain tones.

Heres the output:http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/2919/bitsattenuat...
Like I say - the margin is currently 11db and ill try and do another grab when it <6db if I can catch it.

Thanks

All looks good from a quick peek, really need to see same graph when you are having the problems

6dB attenuation, would actually expect higher margin than 11dB, unless modem is doing a power back off
