Isn't my upstream attenuation a bit high?

Hi guys, just a quick question which has sprang to mind...

Isn't my Upstream Attenuation a bit high for my Downstream Attenuation? See Below:

Down Up
SNR (dB):18.4 23.0
Attn(dB): 13.0 10.0

I know it doesn't matter at the moment as I'm on ADSL1 but I'm thinking for the future.

Same reading on a Home Hub v2 and my current DG834GT. Same reading also with the ADSLnation XF-1e.

Anyone know what may be causing this? I've seen people with an 18dB downstream attenuation reach 6-8dB upstream before.

Loads of spare margin so I would not worry about, people with 25dB attenuation on upstream still see 1Meg upstream speeds from ADSL2+

Is there anything which could be causing the higher attenuation though? I'm just interested in these sorts of things wink

what upstream power are you showing ?

other line :-

Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.5 / 19.5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 15.5 / 30.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 9.0 / 12.0 (832k upstream)

Looks like 11.9dBm.
