You reading ability seems as poor as your foul mouth is expert.

I was merely pointing out to vivaciti that their proposed solution of migration had already been ruled out by you on perfectly sound grounds.

Did I do wrong? Or would you rather shout that out to them because they didn't get it first time?

hi WW

Youre the only other person I know who has the problem.

I'm on a 68xxxx as well, but there are AOL users in my street as well as all the other usuals who can do the test.

Do you get the other symptoms I do?

I dont think you even bothered to read the post.

Whatever.

I was merely trying to understand if "My exhange is not fully LLU, my postcode is SA72. " might be telling me you were on shared LLU.

But you can take your attitude and use your imagination.

Contact your ISP with your evidencem let them test it to, and let them get back to you within a week or so and get them to talk, and fix it.

Hi Phil,

I am sorry but I did respond to you and the thread just doesn't show my name as I didn't log in.

It's not fully LLU - apart from other IP's excluding BT able to provide basic services.

Thanks,

Hilary

Its only the speedtest issue I have, but then I'm with a different ISP (Entanet), while I do see some slowing at peak times its only a slight annoyance - your issue sounds much worse, there are several users on my line and the slow down doesn't prevent us from doing stuff so throughput seems pretty fair.

My suspicion is that there are 2 separate issues at play for you, I have a friend who is away a lot (HGV driver) If I can catch him the next time he is home I will get him to try the speedtester, as not only is he on a 68xxxx number but as far as I know, he is also on AOL, albeit on a long line (Grove Hill) and doesn't get great speed ever (Ive long since given up trying to persuade him to move to a better provider).

I used to know someone down in St Teilos who had big speed issues in the evening but that was on BT and was obviously ISP Throttling, he was on 62xxxx and could access the speedtester. I'm going to ask my partner to get hold of the "outlaws" this weekend and see what happens to them, there is at least one 68xxxx number on that side of the family.

Test Error. The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.

Says a lot about the state of things in this county. Its long overdue for some investment! Milford Haven, Neyland and Haverfordwest all had Dates for upgrades withdrawn about the time that FTTC roll out started... kinda makes you wonder... maybe BT likes being able to charge us more for 20 cn data than they do for 21cn (WBC).

It is all AOL's fault

[re: deleted] [link to this post]

Hi,
another Pembrokeshire user here, because you can recieve a good througput during the night, it is AOL's throttling.

If you could run a thinkbroadband speed test early morning and see what results that produce.

To get a rough estimate of your IP profile we need your router stats.

to get your router stats go herehttp://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/frogstats.php

Read a few more of Kitz pages while your there, this one http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/linestats.htm

If you move from AOL to an ISP that caters for heavy users, you speed will be better all day.

Re: BT Speedtester Issues on SWPM?

Had the BT Openreach engineer on the phone with me for more than an hour this morning!!

BT wholesale are now involved - fingers crossed something might be sorted out.

A time frame is now established anyway so if it isn't sorted out by next week it's time for compensation apparently.

Will keep you informed and if it gets resolved I will email you.

Please reply in the forum if you wish to get in touch.
