Not sure if there is a right or wrong answer here but I am soon going to rent out my house. I currently have o2 which I've had for about 18 months on a rolling monthly contract. Broadband is quick and reliable. I was wondering if it is worthwhile and possible to 'hand over' the broadband to my tenants for a year ( assuming they'd want it).
If you are renting out your property i would defantly cancel your utilities and let the tenants sought out what they want. Fron our own experience its a lot less hassle. We tried this a few years ago and had nothing but hassle. One example was when a tennant had a [censored] laptop with viruses. He kept calling us saying the fault was with the isp. ISP BB engineer comes to site finds no problems and we got a bill. Eventually i went around with my laptop and could not see any problems. Then i look at the tenants laptop and he had porn pop ups etc. Then he argued that he had symantec AV.
Any how never again - to much hassle.
