ADSL Modulation (Thomson ST585) **SOLUTION**

Hi all

Problem now solved, it was a firmware bug in v5.4.0.11 for the 585v6.

The opermode setting should be multimode and the modem should sort out which modulation should be used for the line. G.992.2 Annex A (G.lite) was wrong it should of course be G.992.1

All working now.

Great news. What rate are you syncing at now?

Only 1600. I suspect that we still have a noisey line so I'm going to monitor with RouterStats for 24-48 hours and see what happens during the night. After that will use DMT to try to push the sync up 100-200k and see again.

In the end I suspect that I will be logging (yet) another fault call with my ISP.
