yup..

I have a few colocated servers at icecolo (and use a VPS on one of these to do my line bonding)

FYI, I use newsdemon and they dont seem to care too much if I appear from multiple IP's (jjust care about the amount of connections I use).

I share my account with a few others.

Thought I'd reopen this thread smile

The commercial options available range and there are allot of different providers, for any Multi ISP bonding to work.

It's something i'm looking into for my uncle who runs an independent garage, in the middle of nowhere so can barely get reliable DSL. I've read good things about the Sharedband Managed service (http://uk.sharedband.com).

The other way is to host an appliance your self in a datacentre somewhere, but that just sounds like far too much hassle, i want something that can be installed and left to run (no upkeep required)

Reopening someone else's thread after seven and a half months is always a bad idea. The OP is unlikely to be even looking any more and will have long since done something or other. It also confuses what you are on about with what went before.

As for your uncle, it's unclear whether you are telling us or asking for help. But if you mean you want to set him up with a website running on his own computer, with line bonding, you are barking up two wrong trees at the same time. Or even three, seeing as you say his DSL is unreliable.

Impossible to achieve.

The whole point of hosted services is that they have a huge investment in comms and database equipment, fail-safe systems, real-time backup, and fall-back power supplies. Just for starters. And SLA's (for the services provided to them) for when things go wrong.

He can have all that for under £2pm. Within minutes of signing up.

My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre. Live BQM.
