Sync Speed and IP Profile

Been syncing now for 3+days at 1856kbps (was 1600kbps previously) and IP Profile hasn't changed from 1250 to 1500. Does this suggest something wrong at BTW/PlusNet's end?

Could take a couple of more days for the BT IP profile to change

Might just need a nudge by dis/reconnecting the session.
(Not resyncing - use the Disconnect / Reconnect button within the router UI).

Tried that, still old (1250) profile sadly

Adaptive Max Logic?

The 3-day rule was scrapped August 2008. It is now a few hours up to 5 days, with the smaller increases taking the longest time. (There is a logic to that).

So with a one-step increase, as Apprentice said, a couple of days to go before you should worry.

New IP profile was applied this morning. Now getting c 1400kbps throughput, synced at 1856. Not great, but better than expected to be honest on a 7km line. At least things now appear reasonably stable as connection has stayed up for nearly 4 days.
