slow broadband

my broadband has been very slow for a couple of weeks now. just wondering what to try. i thought it could be spyware but i have used adaware, malwarebytes anti-malware, ccleander and spybot but it does not seem to affect it. could it possibly be a problem with my isp provider? Be unlimited. Or is there any other spyware programs that anyone could recommend?

What stats can you provide from your router/modem and what does the TBB speedtest say?

According to the test my download speed is 7513.42 Kbps and upload speed is 723.12 Kbps and i'm on beunlimited up to 12meg. Every time i want to go to a website it always says "looking up" and it takes forever to load and i often have to refresh the page for the page to load properly

Wired or wireless?

Have you checked te MTU and RWIN values - if using XP. Is the DNS server appropriate?

There is an issue at the moment on BE with sites that route via Global Crossing to Cogent, however it's not affecting that many sites

Try changing the wireless channel

Inssider will help determine which channel is least busy
