I don't use the phone so can't help. If you have a pattern of usage others could advise whether Be or BT would be better.

hi i have bethere phone line and broadband £11.00 phone line rent + £18.26 broadband and i pay nothing to bt any more thank GOD for that /ps line rent has free evening and weekend calls with it
Why don't you want to pay anything more to BT? Are you aware that most of the money you're paying to Be goes straight to BT anyway?

I mean sure, if it works out cheaper then go for it but not wanting to pay a company for some arbitrary reason seems silly. Right now you can have Anytime from BT for £13.50 a month. That includes Caller ID. Okay so it's a 12 month contract but so what? When it comes to telephony BT's service is flawless. Even if it were not Be are only a reseller so any fault BT would suffer from Be will suffer from as well.
