Hi,

I had a sustained (a few days) of sync'ing at 3Mbs as opposed to my normal 8mb.

I resovled the issue with the wiring and am again syncing at the full 8mb.

I've been connected now continuously at 8mb/s for >50hrs - however my profile is stuck at 3.

How long does it take to adjust nowadays?

Anywhen between a few hours (if the step size is large enough and BT's dodgy programming is working properly) and never (sometimes it gets stuck and needs a kick from your ISP).
I'd say wait another three days (then wait until the next morning after that) and if it's still not released call your ISP as it's probably got stuck.

72hrs of stability is supposed to do the deed, there is a chance however that the target snr has been adjusted also, if this is so, full 8128 may be a long way off.

The OP says he's syncing at 8128 kbps again.

Up to 5 days of stability is required.

In my experience over the last few months it has been taking a few days usually. Dont hold your breath though. If you ring your ISP they wont raise a fault for a stuck BraS until its been a week or so.

It can depend which ISP you are with. Some hold a copy of the BT IP profile and use that instead of relying on the BT one. Occasionally the copy fails to get updated when the BT one does . Plusnet and AAISP are a couple.
