The connection between the house and exchange will stay exactly as-is as the copper line and port used at the exchange, if on Virgin's LLU service, won't change.

Thanks. Would you care to comment on what the other posters have noted re the connection speed vs my line stats. I'm not expecting for any assurances that the speed will be any different with Xilo btw

I moved from Bt 21CN which was giving me a sped of just over 2megabits if I was lucky, to Cable and Wireless LLU service, which now gives me a speed of 3.4 to 4.1 megabits, depending on what router I am using

The netgear stays at 10 DB SNr, while the speedtouch knocks it down to 5, so I get a faster sync.


Best thing I did was move from Bt so called ADSL2+
